The British Freemasons of the lodge “Star of Saxony” from Mönchengladbach-Rheindalen have made a donation of €3,000 to the association “Verein Wohlfahrt e.V.” for the fifth year in a row. The lodge raises funds throughout the year and distributes funds to local charities.
The Freemasons care about the people at the edge of society and that is why the money goes directly to the Bruno-Lelieveld-Haus.
This day center provides so-called low-threshold support, that is; a stay, a friendly conversation, breakfast and lunch and a cup of coffee and/or a glass of water and a good lunch three times a week for up to 90 hungry people. Plus the good feeling of being able to lead a life of dignity even at the bottom of society.
